Lynda Christopher is certified as a Personal Trainer, Sports Conditioning Specialist, Tai Chi-Chi Kung Instructor and Personal Protection and Self Defense Instructor by Grand Master Kelly, the International Fitness Professionals Association, Force Options, the American Red Cross and is also accredited by NOCA/NCCA/IACET. She is a certified club coach for Olympic Lifting, and the Arizona Amateur Athletic Union District Director for power lifting.
Lynda Christopher brings over 25 years of experience with professional programming, coaching and staff training to corporate and health clubs, recreational facilities and the coaching industry. She is degreed, certified and accredited and continues to compete all
over the world in Tae Kwon Do and weight lifting.
Lynda Christopher is a member of the American Red Cross, CERT, Amateur Athletic Union, NASKA, American Weightlifting Association (Olympic Lifting), United States Weight Lifting Federation (Olympic Lifting), WABDL, World Power Lifting Federation, the International Power Lifting Federation, the USA Power Lifting Federation, the Natural Athlete Strength Association, the International Fitness Professionals Association, KC's Family Tae Kwon Do & Tumbling. Christopher is one of the top female weight lifters in the world today and was one of the top marathon runners in the nation back in the seventies.
She is has won 14 World Championships and 40 world titles in power lifting from 1989 to present, has broken 41 world records, 41 American Records and 48 National records in power lifting, 6 national records in age division in olympic lifting, 6 Pan American records in Masters Division Olympic lifting, 28 Arizona state records in power lifting, and 3 Arizona state records in Olympic lifting. Lynda is the 2007 Arizona State Taekwondo Grand Champion 14 and over Musical forms and AZ state Grand Champion 18 and over forms.(MARRS). She achieved world ranking as one of the 2001, 2003 and 2004 Top 20 in the 105lb. and 114lb. weight classes in the Bench Press and Dead Lift by Powerlifting USA. In 2006 and 2007 Lynda was ranked #1 in the world in the Bench Press and Dead Lift by the AAU. She has received five Presidential Fitness Awards and two Presidential Champion Awards, and has received proclaimations from the Mayors of Sedona and Cottonwood and been honored by Arizona State Governor Janet Napolitano.
The International Fitness Professionals Association has conferred upon Lynda Christopher the title of Personal Trainer and Sports Nutrition Specialist, as well as a certification as a Tai Chi-Chi Kung Instructor. She is also accredited by the NOCA/NCCA/IACET.
Lynda is in the Body Building Hall of Fame in California, carried the Olympic Torch in the 1984 Olympics, and is a member of Nan (United States Anti-Doping Agency's Out of Competition (OOC), no advance notice testing). She has produced television shows, fitness articles, exercise videos, and a book entitled "The Educated Body". She continues to compete all over the world, does motivational speaking, and is an award-winning poet as well as serving as the Arizona State Ambassador for Medic Alert.
Lynda was honored by City of Cottonwood Mayor Ruben Jauregui in a Proclamation naming the month of December "Follow Your Dream" month. June 2003 was declared "Follow Your Dreams Month" in Sedona AZ in honor of Lynda Christopher's achievements. A Proclamation was issued by Mayor Dick Ellis at the June 10 City Council Meeting.
